Spanaffy S.B.T And S.W.D

This is Dolly (Solar Spirit), she was born 8-11-1996 from a mating between Champion Rogue Saga and Nazami Red Lady and was from a litter of 4. One of her brothers was white and brindle pied like Ch Rogue Saga, the other was brindle and white called Stanley (Steel Gem) and her sister was solid red.

Her first litter was to Samsalin Brixith and produced 7 red and white pups, unfortunatly unknowingly i had mated two L2 hga carriers together and in 2004 her daughter Dark Spirit had to be put to sleep at 6 years old after a long battle with fits and muscle seizures, i kept Teigan and Pepsi who fortunatly not affected. her next litter was to Ch Domino Flashy Lad and produced a mix of colours including a white and brindle dog and bitch who i kept and called Jack and Vera,

I had a life and home change and unfortunatly had to rehome Pepsi, Jack and Vera to loving pet homes, Teigan stayed with me and Stan went to a rescue home.

She had a litter to Lancstaff Noblese Nidaros and i sent a red and white bitch to Fleur Hardy in Canada. her last litter was to Jolihem The Image Man and i kept Daisy, she was the only one in the litter that pulled at my heart strings and thanks to her i now have a bitch to continue Dollys lines, fortunatly she is genetically clear of both h.c and L2hga

Dolly was spayed after Daisys litter and is enjoying life on the settee as befits a grand old lady like her, she suffered a bad patch with her health when wiggy and daisy left us as i think she missed wiggy but she now has sasha to keep her company and her old spirit is back.

Teigan was born on the 15th may 1998. she was the third puppy out and as soon as i saw her i knew she was the one i wanted. she had two litters in her lifetime, the first was to a son of Ch Bonzaries Kelliboy and she had a caesar and 4 pups live out of a litter of 7, two went to Canada and easily got their championship,

The second was to Jolihem The Image Man in june 03,in the litter was a beautiful red and white bitch called Summer Flames who got a cc under Sarah Hemstock at w.e.l.k.s ch  show in 05, in 2006 she had a litter to Herodotus Sodamtuff and we have a beautiful white and red girl from that litter to continue our breeding. Fleur Hardy took a brindle dog and bitch and hopefully will use them to continue her lines if the breed ban in Canada is lifted.

Unfortunatly due to a change in circumstance we had to find a home for her, she found a warm fire and comfy sofa with chris at staffy rescue, sadly in march she had to have a tumour removed from her foot and afterwards her health deteriorated, she suffered 2 strokes within a few days of each other and so the decision was made to lay her to rest. 

Daisy was born in a litter of 7. there were a mix of colours in the litter and all were really cracking pups, however it was snow white Daisy that i fell in love with, shortly after her birth she developed the brindle marks on her eye and ears. she has a temperment the same as Dolly, she commands respect from all the other dogs but hasnt got an aggressive bone in her body, she has taken to Flynn and plays with her in the garden. i think she will become top bitch when Dolly is no longer with us.

She has only had one litter to Canadian Champion Penstaff Gunner Go Back To Spanaffy and it was a lovely litter with two red and whites, two white and reds and a brindle, unfortunatly i cannot repeat the mating as he is an L2 hga carrier and has been withdrawn from stud and placed in a pet home. there was 4 dogs and 1 bitch in the litter and she had whelping problems which resulted in a caesarian. the bitch was pretty but i fell in love with Archie and he stayed with me until july 2007. the bitch named Spanaffy Femme Fatale went to Ireland to Ferox staffords where sadly she passed away in an accident.

I have had a second and final litter from Daisy and as she has had a second cesaerian has now been spayed and has gone to live in a wonderful home found for her by chris at northeats staffy rescue.  I used Herodotus Sodamtuff as i am so pleased with how flynn has turned out and have kept in shared ownership her daughter sasha who is a beautiful cheeky white girl with a red patch on her bum, check back for updates on sasha.

Flynns name means Blazinstaff going away home to Spanaffy and she got that name as she is joining her great gran, gran, great aunt and cousin here at Spanaffy. shes a lovely natured girl and im hoping she will continue the Spanaffy generations into the next decade. she has very much her mothers temperment and she loves to be with the springers. our thanks go to Emma and Craig for such a happy freindly puppy and we wish them well in the future with her sisters in the show ring. We may have a litter from flynn in mid 2008, were planning to use a lovely red dog and hoping for red pups

Spanaffy Sashas Sodamtuff

this is sasha, shes 9 months old in the pictures, shes from the last litter daisy had to herodotus sodamtuff and is a very stocky girl, shes around 14" to the shoulder at the moment and weighs 25lb. She has daisys wonderful temperment and is full of cheek just like dolly. since teigan went dolly has been a bit lost and we decided to have sasha back to keep her company and since then dolly has really perked up again.
